We’re ZOOMING

JLI’s Art Studio at the Teen Impact Center is closed during this pandemic shelter-at-home.  But classes continue on-line through ZOOM.  These classes have been quite fun for those involved.  All you need is pencil, paper, erasure and maybe a few colored pencils or markers.  You know, basic table tools.  You don’t need, but will want, a webcam and microphone.  You can participate without these, watching the lesson and texting in questions.  However, with webcams, we can see each other’s work and get specific suggestions from Lead Artist Betsy Luntao when we have questions. Zoom also turns out to be a great tool for saving classes, allowing for make-up or review if you miss a class or need a reminder when you’re working on a project at home. All are invited to drop in.  Give it a try.  See if this format is fun for you.  (It’s certainly convenient.)  Just go to the JLI calendar, click on the class you want to attend, then copy/paste the address you’ll find there into your browser and you’re on your way.  Zoom classes are live, so best to arrive on time or a little early. Hope to see you soon.

Colored Ink Finale 3/30/2020

What’s really important is to stay well, so we continue to stay at home.  A little independent exercise for mind, body, spirit and creativity is a reasonable approach, and we want to help.  Here’s Betsy’s tour-d-force finale for those playing with colored ballpoint pens.  Watch for more plans for future fun in the April Monthly Planet, coming Wednesday to a screen near you.
